The Milwaukee Bucks have won only one league title in 1971, this happened in their third season which was very impressive as it made them the fastest growing expansion team in North American sports history. The minority owner of the team was not happy about the trade done and was threatening to sell his stock. In 1976, Larry Costello who was the head coach of the team resigned abruptly from his position and Don Nelson replaced him. Don Nelson seemed to be doing a wonderful job as he got to be awarded the NBA Coach of the Year twice for the successes the team made. In 1983, during the playoffs, the Bucks were able to become the only team in history to beat the Boston Celtics until the year 2003. This was a big win for them as it was not easy to sweep the Bolton Celtics.

In 1985, some owners of the team joined hands to sell the team. Herb Kohl decided to buy the Bucks from them to avoid outside investors from getting their hands on the team. This was for fear of having the team moved out of Milwaukee. The year 1991-1998, the team had lost in seven straight seasons, and in 1993, they made some changes to their uniform. The new uniform was purple, and the green ones were now out of the way. In 2000-2001, under the guidance of coach George Karl, the team won fifty-two games and a first division. In the 2002-2003 season, the team made it to the Conference finals but lost to the 76ers.

In one year, the Bucks had lost most players and also their coach. Terry Stotts became the coach but after the team’s loss in 2006, the team decided against renewing his contract. This led to the hiring of John Hammond. Through the many changes the team was making, during the 2014-2015 season, they were able to improve on their performance. The good thing about the Bucks is that they know how to revive themselves which means you never know what they will do next. The Milwaukee Bucks have been doing an excellent job of making things right again, and we cannot wait to have them back at the arena playing.
